Week 4
1)When I hear the word ” monster” I picture something from a children’s book, like an imaginary creature. If I had to draw a monster it would be huge, and covered in orange fur, he would have two blue eyes, and pink eyebrows. I think that our ideas of monsters come from stories or movies. I think the word monster can defiantly have more than one meaning. He could truly be a scary monster like the one who hides in your closet or under your bed. There is also the other kind, the ones who are nice and friendly, like the ones in the movie Monsters Inc.
2)Using the word epic hero to define Beowulf is easy. Beowulf went to kill the monster from the swamp,he saved tons of peoples lives. Even when Beowulf was a young boy he would challenge his friend to races and to prove strength. When he killed the swamp monster many of people viewed him as an epic hero.
3)The project we are doing for Beowulf is a comic strip, but it will be easier portrayed this way then in the book. We were given the part when the monster came form his swamp to kill the people and Beowulf went to stop him. I love the part we were given it easy to understand and was easy to come up with ideas. Doing it this way is much easier to follow, and I like our illustrations they make it fun.
